This book was born in the quiet in-between — between cultures, between grief and healing, between questions and faith. It is the witness of a daughter of refugees, carried through loss, ministry, and the margins of the American church.
It is not for sale. It is a sacred offering. A liturgy of story, scripture, and prayer written for those who have ever felt unseen, silenced, or disqualified.
Here you will not find answers neatly tied together, but the presence of God in wilderness places, in the breaking of chains, in the voices the world overlooks.
Read slowly. Enter gently. And may you discover the God who meets us in the in-between.
The word companion comes from the Latin com (“with”) and panis (“bread”). A companion is one you share bread with. In the same way, these guides are invitations to sit at the table with your own life, to break open your story. It's not a textbook, nor a manual to master. It is meant to walk beside you - like a companion on a journey. Each guide offers themes, questions, and reflections to help you enter more deeply into your own story while holding the story I have shared. You don’t have to share the author’s faith to walk this path; the questions are for your own discovery. There is no rush. No race. Only an invitation to walk slowly into your own becoming. Select the guide that speaks most to you.
